Motor vehicle accidents are one of the most extensively studied and most recognized triggers for PTSD in the clinical literature, with a substantial share of MVA survivors developing clinically significant PTSD symptoms — a rate well above many other single-incident traumas. What's distinct about a work vehicle accident is the return-to-duty element: unlike most civilian MVA survivors, a letter carrier is typically expected to get back behind the wheel of the same type of vehicle on the same roads within days. That forced re-exposure is a factor we weigh directly in evaluating your case.

Treatment through our practice
